If you are looking for some new music to listen to and haven’t listened the The Thermals, I recommend that you do.
They have been around since 2002, and I am sad that I haven’t heard of them before. The track called “A Pillar of Salt” from their new album The Body The Blood The Machine has a very addicting riff that I can’t stop listening to!
Paul Benetis on Jan 8th 2007 Music
So this Saturday, Jan 13, 2007, Waco Brothers are playing at Martyr’s in Chicago. I personally have never been to but I have seen Waco Brothers before. Both shows were at Schubas Taven and I have to say were both really great shows (I preferred the first one because it was the first time and I was a bit more intoxicated).
The music can be described as punk/country but in my opinion its definitely more punk. I know the combo sounds a bit unusual but they ROCK! Anyone that lives in Chicago and likes good music should check these guys out. The first time I saw them I was probably the youngest person there at 25 which was rather interesting, but a blast is a blast when you are with great people.
This will be my third time seeing the Waco Brothers and I can’t wait! Blurry memories and hopefully some pictures will follow.
